FNB Commercial Appoints Bolle Hans as Head of Public Sector Banking

Windhoek: First National Bank Namibia (FNB) Commercial on Thursday announced the appointment of Bolle Hans as Head of Public Sector Banking, effective May 1, 2026. The bank stated that this appointment is a strategic move to enhance its commercial operations and drive growth within the public sector segment.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Hans brings over 31 years of experience in banking, having worked across retail, corporate, and private banking within the FirstRand Namibia Group. He has also collaborated with teams at Rand Merchant Bank (RMB) and FNB to develop and implement public sector strategies.

FNB Commercial Chief Executive Officer Philip Chapman highlighted the significance of public sector banking as a strategic priority for the institution. He noted that Hans' expertise and leadership will bolster the bank's ability to support public sector clients and contribute to the national economy. Chapman remarked, "Hans brings strong sector insight, proven leadership, and a clear focus on client impact, which will strengthen our ability to support public sector clients and the wider economy."

Before this appointment, Hans was part of the Ultra-High Net Worth Private Banking division, where he concentrated on client growth and relationship management. In his new role, Hans will oversee a portfolio that includes public sector institutions and non-governmental organisations, focusing on strengthening stakeholder relations, improving service delivery, and driving integrated financial solutions.

Hans expressed his enthusiasm for the new role, stating, "Each day presents an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in our clients' businesses. I look forward to building on existing partnerships and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver impactful, sustainable solutions that support national development priorities."

He holds executive development qualifications from the University of Stellenbosch Business School and is an alumnus of the African Leadership Institute and the FNB Commercial RM Academy.
