Ondangwa: Former First Lady Monica Geingos has not confirmed her attendance or participation as a speaker at the Namibian Woman Initiative event scheduled to take place in Ondangwa on 06 June 2026. The clarification follows the circulation on social media of promotional posters featuring Geingos as one of the speakers at the event.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the One Economy Foundation issued a media statement on Tuesday addressing the misleading promotional material. The foundation expressed concern over the unauthorised use of Geingos' name and image in the event's advertising.

The statement from the foundation emphasized that Geingos has not agreed to participate in the event. It categorically stated, "Ms Geingos has neither confirmed her attendance nor agreed to participate as a speaker at this event."

The foundation has called on the event organisers to rectify the situation. "We request that the organisers immediately withdraw and correct all promotional material that inaccurately represents Ms Geingos' involvement in this event," the advisory demanded.
