Germany’s CDU Supports Coalition Agreement to Create Gov’t With Social Democrats

Windhoek: Germany's Christian Democratic Union (CDU) voted by a majority at a small party meeting to support a coalition agreement to form a government with the Social Democratic Party (SPD), CDU board member Michael Kretschmer said on Monday.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Kretschmer announced, "So, we passed the vote for the coalition agreement by a majority." The agreement marks a significant step in the political landscape, enabling the CDU and SPD to collaborate in forming a new government.
