An Executive Council Member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Dr. Randy Abbey, has stated that the sponsorship deal with betPawa for the Ghana Premier League is in the process of being renewed.betPawa, who was the headline sponsor of the Ghana Premier League, pulled out of the contract in the 2023/24 season.According to Randy Abbey, the betPawa deal was meant for a year, hence the decision for the company to pull out.He explained that the GFA has managed to renegotiate with the betting company and soon, the new deal will be announced.'Well, it's a partnership that was signed for one year; there was the expression to renew from both parties and we have gone far," he told Joy Sports.'I can say that we have almost concluded negotiations and I'm sure that in the next few days, both parties will announce the details, so we are renewing for another year,' he added.The 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season is set to kick off on September 6.Source: Ghana Web
