Iranian Foreign Minister Shares Tehran’s Stance With Oman to Convey It to US Ministry

Muscat: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi briefed his Omani counterpart Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Albusaidi on Tehran's stance on the upcoming Iran-US indirect talks on Saturday during the meeting in Muscat with the aim of conveying Iran's message to the United States, Iran's Foreign Ministry said.

According to Namibia Press Agency, on Thursday, Iranian news agency Tasnim reported that on Saturday, United States and Iranian delegations will hold their first talks since the start of US President Donald Trump's second term, in the capital of Oman, with the agenda pertaining to Iran's nuclear program.

"Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, who arrived in Muscat at the head of a delegation to participate in indirect talks with the United States on the nuclear issue and the lifting of unjust and illegal sanctions, held a meeting with Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman Sayyid Badr Albusaidi upon his arrival in Muscat ... In order to [hold] indirect Iranian-American negotiations, the foreign minister of our country briefed the Omani foreign minister on the main [views] and positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran to convey it to the other side," the ministry said on Telegram.
