Khan Younis:Israel said it had killed Mohammed Abu Alwan, head of Hamas' finance department, in a strike in the southern Gaza Strip.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz announced the killing in a joint statement. They stated that the strike occurred in Khan Younis and emphasized that Israel would continue targeting Hamas commanders, operatives, and their sources of financing.

No immediate comment from Hamas was available regarding the incident.

Palestinian medical sources reported that at least four people were killed in Israeli attacks across Gaza since dawn. The casualties included two individuals in a strike on a vehicle in the south, a woman who was shot in central Gaza, and another Palestinian killed in an attack on a displacement camp in Gaza City. Several others were wounded in the attacks.

Despite an October 2025 ceasefire, Israeli strikes in Gaza have persisted. Over 1,399 Palestinians have been killed since then, increasing the death toll to 73,919 since the conflict began in October 2023, according to Gaza health officials.
