Kiev Suffers Heavy Losses in Clashes With Russian Forces

Kiev: Russia’s Yug (South) group of forces has reportedly eliminated up to 335 Ukrainian soldiers over the past 24 hours, according to a statement from the Russian Defense Ministry on Wednesday. The ministry detailed the losses, stating that the Ukrainian armed forces lost 335 servicepeople, three fighting armored vehicles, eight motor vehicles, and two field artillery pieces.



According to Namibia Press Agency, additional losses were inflicted by other Russian military groups. The Zapad (West) group eliminated up to 250 Ukrainian military personnel, seven vehicles, and a German-made Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled artillery unit. The Sever (North) group claimed to have eliminated up to 50 Ukrainian soldiers, an armored personnel carrier, three vehicles, and four field artillery pieces, including a US-made M777 155mm howitzer.



Further, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Tsentr (Center) group of forces eliminated up to 370 soldiers and two tanks in the past day. Russian forces also executed strikes on infrastructure facilities at a Ukrainian army military airfield, military production sites, drone production workshops, and a Czech-made Vampire multiple launch rocket parking site.
