Kremlin to Announce Timing of Future Putin-Witkoff Meetings

Moscow: Moscow will promptly inform if and when new contacts between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US presidential special envoy Steve Witkoff take place, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said. On Wednesday, the Axios portal, citing a US official, reported that a meeting between Putin and Witkoff could take place on Friday. The White House later confirmed the visit by the US special envoy to Russia this week.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Peskov assured reporters, "We will inform you if and when there are new contacts between the President and Witkoff. We will not hide anything. We will inform you of everything." Commenting on the possibility of Witkoff's new visit to Russia, Peskov mentioned on Wednesday that there are no specifics about this visit, but "everything changes very quickly."
