Bokeo: Lao police in the northern Bokeo province detained two men and seized a total of 15 million amphetamine pills from their possession. The case was detected on February 20 in Bokeo Province, which is approximately 350 kilometers northwest of the Lao capital Vientiane. Authorities managed to seize the substantial haul of 15 million methamphetamine pills, which weighed a total of 1,500 kilograms, Lao national TV reported on Wednesday.
According to Namibia Press Agency, police investigating the case are actively working to determine the source of the drugs and identify other relevant individuals who may be involved. In light of this incident, the Lao government has pledged that in 2025 it will continue to collaborate with relevant departments at all levels to enhance measures aimed at suppressing the drug trade and eliminating drug abuse across the country.
