The Erongo police have opened a case of reckless driving after a 31-year-old man died in an accident on the Uis-Omihana road on Sunday.
The Namibian Police Force in an incident report Tuesday said the deceased has been identified as Kati Lotto.
Lotto was reportedly driving a Nissan pick-up and towing a Hyundai truck.
“Both vehicles overturned, causing serious injuries to the driver of the Nissan pick-up. The driver of the truck, a 22-year old Namibian national, is in stable condition. The next of kin of the deceased were informed,” the report said.
The police have opened a case of reckless and/or negligent driving; operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s licence and culpable homicide.
Police investigations continue.
