Sikondo: A 36-year-old man, identified as Katewa Reino Karupu, died after he was reportedly hit by a vehicle while trying to cross the B10 road at Sikondo village in the Kavango West region on Saturday.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the weekend crime report issued by the Namibian Police Force (NamPol) on Sunday stated that the incident occurred around 22h00 on the B10 road at Sikondo village. 'It is alleged that the driver of a Toyota Quantum bumped the deceased, who was trying to cross the road. The victim succumbed to his injuries and died on the spot,' it read.

The deceased's next of kin were informed, and police investigations continue.
