The police in Erongo are investigating a possible case of murder after a man was discovered dead in the DRC informal settlement in Swakopmund Wednesday morning.

The Namibian Police Force in a crime report said the deceased was found lying unconscious in the street by community members around 01h30, who then notified the police.

The deceased was found barefoot, lying on his back with his clothes soaked in blood.

He is described as dark in complexion and believed to be aged between 34 to 37 years old. The deceased has not been identified yet, hence the next of kin have not yet been informed.

The police have requested members of the public with possible information related to the matter to contact any police station in the region.

Police investigations are ongoing.
