Oshakati: A man is on the run after he allegedly stabbed and killed his 47 - year - old girlfriend with a kitchen knife at Ongali village in Ondangwa between Saturday evening and Sunday morning . The Namibian Police Force ' s ( NamPol ) Oshana Crime Investigations Coordinator , Deputy Commissioner Frederick Ndjadila , identified the deceased as Jakobina Shivule . According to Ndjadila , the deceased and suspect were in a romantic relationship and were living together at the deceased ' s house at the time . He indicated that the couple reportedly fought twice on Saturday at a nearby cuca shop and were separated . ' The deceased later in the evening went home after the fight and the suspect remained at the cuca shop ,' he said . However , Ndjadila indicated that on Sunday at about 10h00 , a witness who is a friend to deceased found her body in a pool of blood on the floor , covered with a mattress and with a kitchen knife and pieces of a broken pounding stick next to the body . ' The shoe prints of the suspect were seen at the scene leaving the room and house ,' he added . Police investigations into the matter continue .Source: The Namibia News Agency
