Windhoek: Namibian rider Alex Miller and South African cyclist Lize-Ann Louw successfully retained the Pupkewitz Megabuild Tour de Windhoek yellow jerseys they claimed after stage one, maintaining their overall leads following Friday's second stage.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the five-stage tour, taking place from 13 to 16 August, has brought together leading Namibian cyclists and some of the strongest riders from neighbouring countries for four days of competition around the Namibian capital.

Team King Price Racing's Miller extended his advantage in the elite men's category with a commanding victory in Friday's 85-kilometre Dordabis Road Race. His performance gave him an overall time of 3:17:40 and stretched his lead to nearly three minutes over Team Hollard Elite rider Theuns van der Westhuizen.

Angola's Yuri Rodrigues of Team JT300 occupies third place overall in 3:21:42.

Louw, riding for the Tshenolo Women Pro Cycling Team, retained the lead in the elite women's category with an overall time of 3:03:38. Liezel Jordaan of Team Pirtek Hollard is second, 38 seconds behind in 3:04:16, while her teammate, Kelsey Jade van Schoor, is third in 3:04:24.

Van der Westhuizen leads the men's under-23 category in 3:20:56, followed by Rodrigues in 3:21:42 and Christiaan van der Westhuizen of Team Hollard Elite in 3:22:08.

Rosemarie Thiel of Team Cymot Ladies tops the women's under-23 standings in 3:06:13, with Danika Lombard of Team Pirtek Hollard in second place.

King Price Racing leads the men's team competition with an aggregate time of 10:02:56. Team JT300 are second in 10:06:35, followed by Team Hollard Elite in 10:22:34.

Team Pirtek Hollard heads the women's team standings in 9:13:19, ahead of Tshenolo Women Pro Cycling Team in 9:16:38 and Team Cymot Ladies in 9:52:04.
