Windhoek: The Miss Namibia organisation announced on Monday that the 2025 Miss Namibia Beauty Pageant winner will receive a fully furnished house as part of her prizes. This initiative is a collaborative effort involving the National Housing Enterprise (NHE) and the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC).

According to Namibia Press Agency, the gesture is outlined in a joint media statement released by the Miss Namibia organisation and NHE. It aims to promote housing accessibility, empower the youth, and specifically support young women. The agreement, spanning three years from 01 June 2025 to 01 June 2028, combines the prestige of the Miss Namibia Pageant, NBC's broadcast reach, and NHE's affordable housing mandate. Each year, NHE will sponsor two completed housing units: one for the reigning Miss Namibia, valued at N.dollars 750,000, and another as the grand prize for the NBC-produced 'Win a House' game show, valued at N.dollars 900,000.

NBC Managing Director Stanley Similo highlighted that the initiative celebrates Namibian women's excellence, raises affordable housing awareness, and creates meaningful public rewards. Miss Namibia Organisation CEO, Umbi Karuaihe-Upi, emphasized that for the first time, Miss Namibia titleholders will receive homes, symbolizing stability and recognizing their national role.

NHE CEO Gisbertus Mukulu reiterated the enterprise's commitment to economically empower Namibians through affordable housing. By supporting both the pageant and the Win a House initiative, Mukulu believes housing can be aspirational and inclusive, allowing ordinary Namibians to dream and achieve significant milestones, as housing serves as an economic enabler.
