A 27-year-old Zambian national made his first court appearance in the Katima Mulilo District Court on Wednesday in connection with the murder of another man in March this year.Likando Kangombe was arrested on Monday in connection with the murder of 42-year-old Sibuku Calvin Sinyepe, who was shot and killed near his house in the Greenwell Matongo residential area of Katima Mulilo in March this year.Kangombe allegedly also robbed Sinyepe of his cellphone and other valuables.He appeared before Magistrate Davy Kambinda on charges of murder, robbery with aggravating circumstances, and possession of stolen property, as well as being in Namibia illegally. He was remanded in custody due to the severity of the charges against him.The case was postponed to 23 December 2024 for further police investigation and to allow Kangombe to obtain legal representation.Source: The Namibia News Agency
