Windhoek: The Namibia Press Agency's (Nampa) motoring podcast, 'Behind the Wheel', is set to make a return for its second season, with Metje + Ziegler (M+Z) Motors stepping in as the official vehicle partner.
According to Namibia Press Agency, the show, which airs on Nampa TV's social media platforms, quickly gained popularity following its launch in April this year. It featured notable Namibians, including Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare and Minister of Urban and Rural Development James Sankwasa, alongside influencers such as Big Ben, Top Cheri, and Stakes Boy, who shared personal experiences while navigating the streets of Windhoek.
During the official partnership announcement in Windhoek, Nampa's acting Manager of Editorial and Operations, Confidence Musariri, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration. Musariri highlighted the partnership with M+Z Motors as a testament to the growing market appreciation for Nampa's brand and productions. He emphasized that the diversity offered by M+Z's 16 leading vehicle brands will provide viewers with a distinctive motoring experience, while also promoting Windhoek and Namibia as a destination.
M+Z Sales Retail Manager Karl-Heinz Eisenberg shared the company's positive outlook on the partnership, stating their eagerness to support a high-quality production and offer the show's extensive audience an exceptional motoring experience.
The second season of 'Behind the Wheel' is scheduled to run from September 2026 to January 2027, featuring vehicles from brands such as JAC, Mercedes-Benz, LDV, Mahindra, and INEOS.
According to Nampa Editor for Audio Visual Services, George Hendricks, the 30-episode season will showcase prominent Namibian figures, including Independent Patriots for Change (IPC) leader Panduleni Itula, Affirmative Repositioning (AR) leader Job Amupanda, and activist Michael Amushelelo. The show will also feature Cabinet ministers, artists like Suzy Eises and Sally Boss Madam, as well as business leaders such as Sven Thieme, Ranga Haikali, and City of Windhoek Chief Executive Officer Moses Matyayi.
