Helao Nafidi: Helao Nafidi Mayor Darius Shaalukeni has described the late Founding President Sam Nujoma as a leader who instilled a sense of responsibility and accountability in those around him. Shaalukeni emphasized that Nujoma’s leadership style was marked by his strong belief in hard work, discipline, and respect for authority. He urged Namibians to honor and respect Nujoma’s contributions to the liberation of the nation from its oppressors.
According to Namibia Press Agency, Shaalukeni highlighted that Nujoma’s legacy continues to inspire Namibians from all walks of life as he was a visionary and a great leader. He called on the youth to emulate the late president and become heroes of their generation, fighting for the benefit of all Namibians. Shaalukeni stressed the need for heroes who strive for the economic stability of the country, aim for advancements in artificial intelligence, and empower the youth through sports to build an inclusive Namibian society.
Meanwhile, Eenhana Mayor Omri-onn Kavandje echoed similar sentiments, describing Nujoma as not only a revolutionary and anti-apartheid activist but also a visionary leader dedicated to the liberation and development of Namibia. Kavandje noted that Nujoma was a president of the people, an icon of resilience, selflessness, and dedication. He urged future leaders to emulate Nujoma’s exemplary character, patriotism, and unwavering commitment to the people of Namibia.
