Windhoek: The Namibia Revenue Agency (NamRA) on Tuesday announced that it collected net revenue of nearly N$17.1 billion between April and June 2026, representing 20.7% of its N$82.6 billion annual revenue target for the 2026/27 financial year.According to Namibia Press Agency, NamRA reported that gross revenue for the quarter stood at N$19.5 billion, with N$2.42 billion processed in refunds. Domestic taxes contributed N$10.3 billion, equivalent to 18% of NamRA's target for that category, while Customs and Excise collections reached N$6.79 billion, or 26% of the target.By tax type, Southern African Customs Union (SACU) receipts were the single largest contributor to net revenue at 33.8%, followed by Value Added Tax at 26.4% and Personal Income Tax at 25.7%. Corporate Income Tax contributed the smallest share, at 4.8%.NamRA Commissioner Sam Shivute stated that the first-quarter performance reflected the dedication of employees and a continued culture of voluntary compliance among taxpayers and traders.
