NamWater Distributes N.dollars 381,660 of School Supplies to Hardap Schools.

Mariental: The Namibia Water Corporation (NamWater) has extended its support to the education sector by donating school supplies worth N.dollars 381,660 to 11 rural schools in the Hardap Region. The handover ceremony was held at Anna Maasdorp Combined School in Duineveld, located in the Mariental Rural Constituency.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Hardap Governor Salomon April praised NamWater’s initiative, highlighting its significant role in fostering quality education in the region. “Today’s donation is an action that speaks louder than words. It illustrates NamWater’s dedication to providing learners with the necessary tools they need to help excel academically despite existing challenges,” April stated during his keynote address.

Kadiva Hamutumwa, NamWater’s Chief Strategy and Corporate Affairs Officer, emphasized the importance of their support, pointing out the educational resource shortages impacting the socio-economic development of the community. Hamutumwa revealed that this donation is part of
a five-year plan, aiming to supply numerous schools with essential educational materials annually until 2028. The distributed items included books, glue, colouring pencils, calculators, and mini dictionaries, among others.
