Windhoek: President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, during a courtesy visit by the leadership of the All People's Party (APP) at State House on Thursday, emphasised the need for collaboration between the nation's executive, the legislature, and the judiciary.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Nandi-Ndaitwah highlighted the importance of engagement and communication among the branches of government to ensure effective governance. She stressed that parliament is responsible for making laws, which are implemented by the executive and interpreted by the judiciary, underscoring the necessity for state agencies to understand each other's roles.

Nandi-Ndaitwah expressed the need for parliament's cooperation to facilitate the smooth implementation of government programmes. She outlined the priorities of the 8th administration and referenced the recently launched 6th National Development Plan (NDP6) as the guiding framework until 2030.

Nandi-Ndaitwah also reflected on the historical context of Vision 2030, initiated 25 years ago under the leadership of the Founding Father, Sam Nujoma. She emphasised that the responsibility to achieve the objectives of Vision 2030 now rests with the current administration and called for national support to ensure its success.

The president reiterated the collective responsibility to adhere to the national roadmap and warned that any lag in achieving the set objectives would affect the entire nation. She urged for unity and cooperation to ensure the accomplishment of the nation's goals.
