Windhoek: The Aeronautical Information Management (AIM) Unit under the Air Navigation Services Department has successfully retained its ISO 9001:2015 certification. The announcement was made on Monday by the Namibia Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).According to Namibia Press Agency, the NCAA reaffirmed its commitment to quality, safety, and efficient service delivery within the civil aviation sector in a media statement on Monday. 'ISO 9001:2015 is a globally acknowledged standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS), ensuring that the NCAA consistently meets stakeholder expectations through effective processes, continuous improvement, and a strong focus on customer satisfaction,' the statement said.The NCAA highlighted that the re-certification strengthens Namibia's civil aviation sector by improving the accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of aeronautical information while enhancing compliance with the Namibia Civil Aviation Regulations (NAMCARs) and International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) stan dards.The statement also emphasized that the re-certification promotes increased safety and operational efficiency through standardized workflows, quicker response times, and minimized disruptions, thereby fostering confidence in the country's civil aviation infrastructure.NCAA Executive Director Toska Sem commented on the achievement, stating that retaining the certification demonstrates the authority's commitment to maintaining high aviation safety and service delivery standards and reinforces its position as a reliable air navigation service provider.
