Namibia’s former World Boxing Organisation (WBO) African middleweight champion, Lukas ‘The Demolisher’ Ndafoluma said he is prepared to die in the ring when he faces Bradley Rea on Saturday night.

The 36-year-old Namibian boxer who has a record of 24 fights; 20 wins and four losses, will take on 24-year-old Rea from the United Kingdom who has a record of 12 fights and 12 wins at the Newcastle Arena, in Newcastle, England.

In an interview with Nampa on Thursday, Ndafoluma said he has worked hard ahead of the fight and he is confident of giving it his all when in the ring.

“This fight on Saturday is personal for me. I am ready to die in that ring and I know my team will never leave my body in that ring because what I am going to give come Saturday night is a version and a fight that no one has ever seen,” he said.

The boxer who lost his WBO Africa title in December 2021 in his second title defence, on an eighth-round technical knockout to Nkululeko Mhlongo of South Africa, stated that the match will be his redeemer.

“The fight came at the right time. I was supposed to fight on 09 April 2022 but that fight was postponed to end April, so when this news came we grabbed it with both hands,” said Ndafoluma who echoed that he set down with his management to calculate the risks and he realised he is ready to take this opportunity after his setback last year which almost broke him after losing in a humiliating way of a technical knockout.

Ndafoluma added that he did not feel well ahead of his previous fight and getting a stoppage was something that never happened in his boxing career and was difficult to accept.

“I now feel ready to fight and I want to redeem myself in that ring. My opponent must be ready for this fight because all I am going for is just a win,” he said.
