Henties bay: The highly anticipated coastal leg of the Nedbank for Good Series is set to begin this weekend, with the first event scheduled for Henties Bay on Saturday. Following the success of last year's events, the series will make its return to the coast, starting at the Henties Bay Golf and Lifestyle Estate. The series will then continue to the Rossmund Golf Course in Swakopmund on 23 August and conclude its coastal run on 30 August at the Walvis Bay Golf Course.
According to Namibia Press Agency, a statement released by Nedbank Namibia on Wednesday quoted series organiser Dan Zwiebel, who shared that preparations are well underway. "After a very successful northern leg, we look forward to the three back-to-back event coastal leg. The support from the local coastal community has always been very satisfying, and we look forward to seeing our coastal friends," Zwiebel said.
Zwiebel also highlighted the rapid growth of the Nedbank for Good Series since its launch in 2020. "We have now welcomed over 700 players across the series, a testament to the growing interest and commitment to the cause," he added.
Nedbank Namibia Chief Commercial Officer, JG van Graan, emphasized Nedbank's dedication to the series. "Our continued support of this series is a testament to our commitment to nurturing talent and fostering inclusive growth. As the competition heads to the coast for its next three rounds, we're excited to witness the incredible energy and creativity that coastal communities consistently bring. The alignment with Agra Provision's mandate of advancing agricultural transformation and resilience perfectly complements our ethos of enabling progress through purposeful partnerships. Together, we're cultivating impact that goes far beyond banking," Van Graan said.
After the coastal stretch, the Nedbank for Good Series will move to the Windhoek Golf and Country Club on 13 September, followed by the series finale on 03 October at the Omeya Golf Club.
