Omuthiya: Omuthiya Constituency Councillor Erastus Nekomba has reaffirmed to learners and teachers at Lipundi Secondary School that his office remains committed to improving education and the welfare of learners. Nekomba was speaking on Thursday during a visit to the school, which forms part of the council's responsibility to engage directly with schools, understand their challenges, and provide moral leadership.

According to Namibia Press Agency, school principal Susan Muhongo told Nekomba that the school's pass rate has improved significantly, despite enrolling learners with a history of poor academic performance. She further reported that the school currently faces the challenge of an incomplete school hall, the construction of which has been stalled since 2020.

Muhongo added that the incomplete hall has affected the school's ability to host examinations and other important events. Responding to the appeal, Nekomba pledged his support for the project and said he is ready to contribute corrugated iron sheets to help complete the school project.
