Windhoek: The Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) on Monday announced the appointment of Nashilongo Gervasius as Director of Corporate Engagement and Internationalisation.According to Namibia Press Agency, Gervasius had been serving in the position in an acting capacity since July 2024, during which she coordinated corporate engagement initiatives, managed international partnerships, and supported the institution's internationalisation agenda.The appointment, NUST stated, strengthens the university's strategic engagement with industry, government, and global partners. Gervasius joined NUST in April 2022 as a lecturer in the Department of Communication and Languages, contributing to teaching, curriculum development, and student mentorship in areas such as digital communication, corporate communication, and multimedia studies.While serving as acting director, she coordinated institutional engagement initiatives and helped advance the university's strategic partnerships. She also led the de velopment and coordination of activities marking NUST's first decade, highlighting the institution's growth and national impact.NUST mentioned that her portfolio will also cover corporate communications and marketing, branding and creative design, as well as stakeholder engagement with government, industry, and development partners. The university noted that the appointment comes as higher education institutions increasingly strengthen global partnerships to advance research, innovation, and knowledge exchange.
