Okahandja: The Okahandja Municipality is set to hold a public media briefing this Thursday, where it will present its future plans for the town.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Okahandja Deputy Mayor, Akser Aupindi, mentioned in an interview that the municipality will present to the general public achievements and milestones from the 2024/25 financial year.

'We would like to invite the public to attend the meeting at the municipality chambers on Thursday afternoon as the municipality will reflect on the remarkable progress it has made in its five-year tenure,' he said.

The municipality will also share its vision for the town at the meeting with community members, so that continued growth in service delivery becomes the norm, said Aupindi.

Details of the capital projects completed, those still underway and envisioned will be discussed at the meeting, he said.

Aupindi also noted that most of the current local authority councillors plan to run for re-election in the Regional Council and Local Authority elections in November.
