Ondangwa Court Employee Survives Attempted Murder

Ondangwa: The Namibian Police Force in the Oshana Region are investigating a case in which a female employee of the Ondangwa Magistrate's Court survived an attack.

According to Namibia Press Agency, police national spokesperson Deputy Commissioner Kauna Shikwambi reported that the victim, aged 30, was assaulted at Extension 16 in Ondangwa on Friday. Two unidentified male suspects, whose faces were concealed with balaclavas, attacked the victim with a pistol, inflicting three gunshot wounds to her right thigh. They also poured acid on her and inside her car. The victim sustained serious injuries and was admitted to Ondangwa Private Hospital.

No arrests have been made thus far, and police investigations are ongoing.

In an unrelated incident on Friday at the Omashaka location in Ondangwa, a 33-year-old man was apprehended after being found with 655 grams of cannabis valued at N.dollars 32,750. Additionally, a 20-year-old was arrested in the same location on the same day after police discovered 8 grams of cannabis worth N.dollars 400 in his possession.

Both suspects were scheduled to appear in the Ondangwa Magistrate's Court on Monday. Investigations into these incidents are continuing.
