Minneapolis: One person was killed and two others injured in a shooting early Saturday in the city of Minneapolis, U.S. state of Minnesota, local authorities said. Minneapolis police chief Brian O'Hara reported that officers heard bursts of automatic gunfire around 2:30 a.m. local time in Dinkytown, a commercial district in Minneapolis.
According to Namibia Press Agency, one person died at the scene, while two others, including a University of Minnesota student, were taken to a hospital for injury treatment. Police stated that three firearms were recovered at the scene, one of which belonged to the deceased male.
O'Hara noted that investigations had begun to determine who was carrying the weapons and what caused the shooting. The area was crowded overnight due to Halloween celebrations, O'Hara highlighted, describing the situation as chaotic.
