Oshikoto: Oshikoto Regional Council chairperson Sacky Nangula has urged administrators, technocrats, and all public servants to embrace innovation and unity to deliver on the promises made to the electorate. During a staff address at the Omuthiya Multi-Purpose Youth Centre themed 'Providing New Marching Orders for Improved and Innovated Service Delivery,' Nangula reminded councillors of the five-year social contract signed with voters, as outlined in the Swapo Party election manifesto and translated into the Oshikoto Regional Council's strategic plan.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Nangula stressed the necessity for collaboration, synergy, and unity of purpose between elected representatives and administrators. He highlighted the critical role of public servants as the bridge between council decisions and their implementation, emphasizing that their active, ethical, and capable participation is essential to provide the services deserved by the community.

Nangula called for a departure from routine practices, articulating that repeating the same actions would not lead to different outcomes. He urged staff to adopt a 'Business Unusual' approach, encouraging everyone to give their best in their respective roles. Improved communication and stakeholder engagement were underscored as crucial for effective service delivery across the region.

Oshikoto Governor Sacky Kathindi echoed the call for commitment, integrity, and teamwork, highlighting the shared responsibility of public servants to serve with dedication. He stressed the importance of unity, mutual respect, and open communication for the region's progress.

Kathindi also pointed out the complementary roles of the Office of the Governor and the Regional Council, advocating for closer coordination to align development initiatives and avoid duplication. Traditional leaders were recognized as key partners, and continued engagement and collaboration were encouraged.
