Naypyidaw: Over 126,000 malaria cases were reported in Myanmar between January and August 2025. A total of 126,562 cases were detected and treated, as reported by the state-owned Myanmar Radio and Television on Saturday.
According to Namibia Press Agency, Myanmar is working to eliminate malaria transmission by 2030. The country has made progress in its malaria control efforts over the past decade. Between 2012 and 2021, malaria cases in Myanmar decreased by 88 percent, and fatalities dropped by 97 percent.
