Eilat: More than 1,500 athletes from 16 countries and regions took part in the annual Israman triathlon on Friday, featuring iron and half-iron distance races in and around the Red Sea in Israel's southern resort city of Eilat. The event drew international competitors to challenge themselves across demanding swim, bike, and marathon segments.According to Namibia Press Agency, the full iron-distance race included a 3.8-kilometer swim, a 180-kilometer bike ride, and a 42.2-kilometer marathon run. Israel's Almog Elazzary secured the men's title, completing the race in eight hours, 47 minutes, and 57 seconds. In the women's category, Israel's Antonina Reznikov claimed victory with a time of 11 hours, 57 minutes, and 4 seconds. Both winners received 5,000 euros in prize money for their achievements.In the half-iron event, Germany's Marcel Bolbat emerged victorious in the men's race with a time of 4 hours, 13 minutes, and 36 seconds. Meanwhile, Israel's Hadas Mazar triumphed in the women's race, finishing in 5 hours, 33 minutes, and 25 seconds. The competition highlighted the diverse participation and competitive spirit among athletes from around the world.
