Windhoek: The Namibian Police Force (NamPol) confiscated various illicit drugs and arrested 206 suspects during operations carried out in November 2025.
According to Namibia Press Agency, NamPol spokesperson, Deputy Commissioner Kauna Shikwambi, stated in a media release on Monday that the confiscated drugs include 546.6 kilogrammes of cannabis, 3,456 full tablets and a quarter tablet of Mandrax, 15.7 kilogrammes of cocaine powder, 79 units of crack cocaine, and three grams of crystal methamphetamine.
Shikwambi emphasized that these confiscations are part of ongoing efforts to curb drug trafficking and safeguard communities from the harmful effects of illicit substances. The arrests include 196 Namibian nationals, two Angolan nationals, three Congolese nationals, one Motswana national, one Nigerian national, two South African nationals, and one Mozambican national.
