Over 9,500 Sri Lankans Impacted by Ongoing Heavy Rains

Colombo: Over 9,500 Sri Lankans have been affected by the current heavy rains, the Disaster Management Center (DMC) said on Wednesday. A total of 9,542 people from 2,395 families have been affected, said the DMC, adding that four people have died, and 422 houses have been partially damaged.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the country's Department of Meteorology indicated that heavy rains would continue on Wednesday in several provinces. People living near rivers have been asked to remain vigilant.

Sri Lanka has been experiencing heavy rains over the past few days, causing significant disruptions and concerns for the affected populations.
