Windhoek:Kabardino-Balkaria A prisoner attacked officers from Russia's Federal Penitentiary Service during a transfer on a train in the Kabardino-Balkaria Republic, located in the North Caucasus. The incident resulted in the death of one officer and injuries to three others.According to Namibia Press Agency, the inmate managed to seize a firearm from an escort officer and fired multiple shots at the guards while being escorted to the toilet on the train.The Federal Penitentiary Service stated that the attacker was subsequently neutralized by guards. The prisoner had been serving a sentence for serious offenses under the Russian Criminal Code.
