Rundu Teacher Killed in Alleged Attack by Son

Rundu:A 52-year-old woman was killed after allegedly being attacked with a panga and a spade by her son in Rundu's Sauyemwa location on Tuesday. The victim was a teacher at Ndama Primary School.

According to NAMPA, a police report from the Namibian Police Force's Crime Investigations Coordinator, Deputy Commissioner Moses Simaho, stated that the 31-year-old suspect also injured his own son during the attack. The child is currently receiving treatment at Rundu Intermediate Hospital.

The suspect has been arrested, and investigations by the police are ongoing.

In a separate incident, three men, aged between 21 and 36, were arrested for attempting to sell two elephant tusks without a permit to undercover officials on Monday. The value of the tusks has not yet been determined.
