Russia Open to Peaceful Resolution in Ukraine, Says Kremlin

Moscow: Russia remains open to a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian issue, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated on Monday. US President Donald Trump expressed on Sunday his hope that Russia and Ukraine would reach a deal in the coming week.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Peskov refrained from giving specific comments about the timeline, emphasizing that President Vladimir Putin and the Russian side continue to be open to finding a peaceful resolution. He highlighted ongoing efforts between Russia and the US on the Ukrainian issue, expressing hope for successful outcomes.

Peskov also noted the importance of conducting the search for peaceful solutions outside the public sphere and cautioned against the spread of fake news.
