Russia Yet to Decide on Representative for Pope Francis’ Funeral

Moscow: Russia has not yet decided who will represent it at the funeral of Pope Francis, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced on Wednesday.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the Holy See reported that Pope Francis passed away on Easter Monday at the age of 88 at his residence in the Vatican's Casa Santa Marta. Cardinal Kevin Joseph Farrell, Prefect of the Dicastery for the Laity, the Family, and Life, confirmed that Pope Francis died at 5:35 GMT. The cause of death was identified as a stroke and irreversible heart failure, as stated by Andrea Arcangeli, Director of the Directorate of Health and Hygiene of the Vatican City State.

Peskov responded to inquiries regarding Russia's representation at the funeral by saying, "No, we have not decided yet."
