Moscow: Russia's economy is moving faster than the global average for the second year in a row, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said on Wednesday. "For the second year in a row, our economy has been moving at a pace that exceeds the world average. This is the goal set by the president. Russia is among the world's four largest economies in terms of purchasing power parity," Mishustin told the lower house.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the country's economic growth in the last two years has exceeded the European growth by almost six times, while a number of European countries are already experiencing recession, Mishustin said.

Additionally, the official said that Russia's GDP for the first time exceeded the mark of 200 trillion rubles ($2.4 trillion) in nominal terms in 2024, having doubled since 2020, adding that the Russian economy is becoming more technological and diversified.
