Wonsan: Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov arrived on Friday night at Wonsan Kalma airport for a visit to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported Saturday. Lavrov is set to engage in discussions with his DPRK counterpart Choe Son Hui during this visit, which is in response to an invitation from the DPRK Foreign Ministry.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Lavrov's visit is scheduled from July 11 to 13, as reported earlier by KCNA. Before Lavrov's travel, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova announced that Lavrov and Choe will partake in the second round of strategic dialogue at the foreign ministers' level between the two nations in Pyongyang, Russian media reported on Friday.
