Moscow: Russia's Federation Council, the country's upper house, on Wednesday approved a law banning foreign agents from conducting educational activities in Russia regardless of the age of the students.
According to Namibia Press Agency, corresponding amendments were made to the Law on Foreign Agents. In addition, the amendments clarify the procedure for licensing educational activities conducted by foreign agents, providing for the refusal to issue a license or the termination of its validity if the applicant is a foreign agent.
In addition, the amended legislation prohibits the entry of foreign agents into the management bodies of state corporations and prohibits non-governmental organizations (NGOs) declared as foreign agents from being listed as socially oriented NGOs.
