Windhoek: Shi Yinle will serve as abbot of the Shaolin Temple, the temple's management office said in a statement Tuesday. In accordance with relevant regulations, the decision was approved after democratic reviews by the monastic community of the temple and other relevant procedures, the statement said.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the appointment of Shi Yinle comes after a comprehensive selection process involving both the monastic community and other necessary protocols. The temple's management emphasized the adherence to established regulations in making this decision.
