Shinima to Fly Namibian Flag in Russia Showdown

Saint petersburg: Namibian welterweight boxer Charles Panduleni Shinima is scheduled to step on an international boxing stage when he faces Russia's Khariton Agrba in Saint Petersburg on 07 October 2025.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the 33-year-old Namibian, who has a record of 21 bouts with 19 wins (13 via knockout) and two defeats, is regarded as one of Namibia's brightest boxing prospects. He is set for a 10-round welterweight clash against the seasoned Russian.

The 29-year-old Russian boxer Agrba has a record of 16 bouts with 15 wins (nine via knockout) and one defeat. A press statement availed to Nampa by Shinima's boxing stable AC Boxing stated that the bout marks another significant milestone in his career as he builds his international profile and climbs the global rankings.

'This is a great opportunity for Charles to measure himself against world-class talent,' AC Promotions said. 'We are confident in his preparation and believe he will once again make Namibia proud on the international stage,' read the statement.

The event is expected to draw worldwide attention and will test Shinima's speed, power, and tactical skill against a formidable opponent. The statement added that Shinima heads into the contest with an impressive professional record, having earned a reputation for his resilience, ring intelligence, and knockout power.

'A strong performance in Saint Petersburg could push him further towards title contention and establish his place among the division's elite,' it said.
