Shooting in Cavite Province Leaves Four Dead, One Injured

Cavite: Four people, including the gunman, were killed and another was critically injured in a shooting incident on Monday morning in Cavite province, south of Manila, local police said. The shooting occurred at around 8 a.m. local time in front of the village hall in Dasmarinas City during a flag-raising ceremony.

According to Namibia Press Agency, officers arrived at the scene and found four men suffering from fatal gunshot wounds. A woman was also injured and is reported to be in critical condition. Three of the deceased were village officials, the police stated.

The gunman, identified as a 50-year-old former village watchman, reportedly shot himself after killing the three officials. Authorities are still investigating the motive behind the attack.
