Six seriously injured in accident at Rupara

Six people sustained serious injuries on Saturday after the vehicle they were travelled in overturned several times at Rupara village in the Kavango West Region.

According to a Namibian Police Force weekend crime and accident report issued on Sunday, the incident took place at around 19h00.

It is alleged that the driver of the Toyota pick-up driving from the east to the west direction, lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn several times, seriously injuring the six occupants, including the driver.

The injured occupants and the driver were taken to the Rupara Health Centre, from which they were again rushed to the Rundu State Hospital due to seriousness of their injuries.
