Swapo Party Secures Victory in Okorukambe Constituency Election

Okorukambe: The Electoral Commission of Namibia has released the final results of the 2025 Regional Council election for the Okorukambe Constituency in the Omaheke Region.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the Swapo Party emerged victorious with candidate Rocco Nguvauva receiving 1,128 votes. The Landless People's Movement candidate, Dominikus Ganeb, secured the second position with 765 votes. Independent candidate Magreth Raundikua Meroro garnered 404 votes, while Alfred van Wyk from the Independent Patriots for Change (IPC) received 250 votes. Emmanuel Tuala of the Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) managed to collect 210 votes.

A total of 2,757 votes were cast in this election, marking the continued engagement of the Okorukambe Constituency's electorate in the democratic process. The results underscore the Swapo Party's sustained influence in the region.
