Teen Girl Allegedly Raped at Omusheshe Village

Omusheshe: The Namibian Police Force (NamPol) in the Oshana region are investigating an alleged rape case involving a 16-year-old victim who was reportedly assaulted by an unknown man at Omusheshe village on Sunday.

According to Namibia Press Agency, a crime incident report made available on Friday revealed that the victim was en route to her grandmother's house at approximately 17:01 when a stranger driving a white Toyota stopped and began questioning her. The report stated that the man subsequently became aggressive, forcing the victim into his vehicle before driving into a secluded bush area where he allegedly undressed her and engaged in non-consensual sexual intercourse. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with this incident.

In a separate and unrelated event, the decomposed body of 44-year-old Matheus Amumbadja was discovered at Onakamwandi village on Monday. It is reported that Amumbadja, who lived alone, was found dead by his neighbor in front of his sleeping quarters at 08:00. He was last seen on Wednesday at the Onakamwandi Cucashops. Authorities do not suspect foul play at this time, and his body has been transported to the Oshakati police mortuary for a post-mortem examination.

The next of kin have been notified about both incidents, and police investigations are ongoing to ascertain further details surrounding these cases.
