The delegation of Burkina Faso to the 19th Africa India conclave which is being held from August 19 to 22 in New Delhi, defended the need for African countries to redouble their efforts in mobilizing domestic resources for sustained growth in Africa.The Minister of Economy and Finance, Aboubakar Nacanabo, insisted on the self-financing of the continent during a panel discussion on financing models in the history of growth in Africa, reports the communications service of the minister.Mr. Nacanabo certainly noted the significant contribution of classic financing models resulting from multilateral and bilateral cooperation, financial markets, the private sector and innovative financing mechanisms including public-private partnerships. But he stressed the need for African countries to redouble their efforts in mobilizing domestic resources for sustained and sustainable growth.The minister was accompanied at this panel by the National Coordinator of the Public-Private Partnership Unit and the Director of Bi lateral Cooperation. Also present at the conclave are the Minister of Commerce and Industry, the Minister of Digital Transition and the Minister Delegate in charge of regional cooperation,During their stay, the Burkina Faso delegation discussed with the Indian Minister of Finance, Nirmala Sitharaman, the state of bilateral cooperation between Burkina Faso and India and the issues of digitalization of taxes.In addition, the delegation and the Director General of Exim Bank took stock of the execution of the projects financed by this Institution and discussed the prospects for financing new projects with which commitments were made to strengthen the monitoring of cooperation. and the implementation of development projects.Source: Burkina Information Agency
