In a separate incident, NamPol at Katima Mulilo are investigating a case of murder, read with the Domestic Violence Act after a 29-year-old man allegedly threw a three-month-old baby on a roof, resulting in the death of the infant.

The incident allegedly occurred on Friday at around 20h00 at the town’s Choto compound.

“It is alleged that the suspect confronted his girlfriend, questioning her as to who the biological father of their three-month-old boy was. He then held the infant by the neck, threw him onto the roof of the house before the infant fell onto the floor and died,” said the report.

The suspect was arrested and is set to appear in the Katima Mulilo Magistrate’s Court on Monday.

Furthermore, a 50-year-old man died on the spot after he allegedly lost control of the vehicle he was driving, causing it to overturn on the Ongha- Ondangwa B1 road in the Oshikoto Region.

The man, identified as Amos Hamunyela, was the sole occupant of the vehicle. The incident allegedly occurred on Saturday at around 22h22 at Ondeihaluka.
