Windhoek: U.S. President Donald Trump is set to engage in discussions with Gulf leaders during the UN General Assembly in New York, focusing on the next steps in the Iran war. The meeting, anticipated on Tuesday, aims to address U.S. proposals for a postwar strategy.According to Namibia Press Agency, President Trump is expected to convene with leaders or foreign ministers from the six Gulf Cooperation Council countries, namely Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Oman. The U.S. Department of State initiated the invitation process on Wednesday, as reported.The discussions are part of Trump's broader strategy, with his senior team working on a comprehensive plan that is projected to be finalized post-midterm elections. The report also mentions that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed interest in meeting Trump in New York, although no such meeting has been arranged yet, as per an Israeli source.
